Each cocktail deserves my full attention and preparation can take up to 5 minutes. But the result will be worth the wait!
From 30 to 60 seconds for a "simple" cocktail. 1 minute and a half for the more elaborate ones. After all, nobody likes to wait!
In theory, 1 minute and a half for a "simple" cocktail and 3 minutes for more elaborate ones. Basically, I know the needs of each client and act accordingly.

The pub is crowded
You stay focused on the drinks you are making and ask for support from your colleague who is more inclined to handle this type of situation.
Without interrupting your service, you talk to one of the guy's friends explaining that you cannot serve his friend a drink. Alternatively, you offer him a non-alcoholic cocktail.
You offer him a non-alcoholic cocktail of your own invention so good that he will surely like it!

The bar is rather crowded but you are handling orders smoothly
Every cocktail deserves the right concentration. Therefore, while remaining friendly, you do not treat customers with familiarity while you are working.
You talk about this and that without losing pace while preparing the cocktail. You can prepare cocktails with your eyes closed and chatting with customers is an important part of your job.
While keeping on preparing drinks, you talk to your customer explaining the making of the different cocktails. In this way, you can give him full attention without getting distracted.

A customer orders a cocktail
It is essential to fill the glass with ice to prevent it from melting too quickly, which would spoil the taste of the drink. This is not up for discussion.
You immediately agree to his request. You cannot interrupt your service just to discuss customers’ requests.
You explain why it is so important to fill the glass with ice. You know what he expects: a perfect cocktail.
